¿Qué recomiendo para empezar? – creo que es la pregunta que más me hace la gente que me conoce y la que no me conoce, pero sabe que practico hace muchos años y tengo una sala.
Me parece MUY DIFICIL, recomendar una disciplina para arrancar.
Si bien estoy convencida que el yoga nos lleva al mismo lugar desde distintas perspectivas (¿estilos?), también estoy convencida de que un enfoque o unx profe que no nos llegue adecuadamente, puede hacer que muchas personas no le den otra chance (lo he escuchado tantas veces).
Sin embargo, ¿cómo recomendarle un estilo de yoga a gente que no conozco? – creo que hay tantas formas de practicar como personas en el mundo.
Perdón, si pensabas que este posteo iba a darte una solución mágica / lamentablemente no hay soluciones mágicas ni en el yoga ni en la vida y todo lleva tiempo, practica, paciencia, discplina, compromiso, y amor – y recién ahi, creo, que puede, quizas, aparecer la «magia». Por eso, mi recomendación si nunca hiciste yoga:
- buscá una sala que te quede cómoda (cerca de casa, del trabajo, en un barrio que te guste, que frecuentes)
- que te parezca amena, cálida, linda, confortable
- una clase en un horario que puedas sostener sin hacer malabares (es dificil sostener los malabares por mucho tiempo)
- dale al menos, un mes al estilo, tratando de hacerte presente y observar sin juzgar (ni el estilo, ni el/la profe) y fijate como sentis antes y después.
- si realmente no te convence el estilo, pero si el lugar, fijate otro horario que te sirva y repetí.
Si después de todo esto, te sigue costando sostener, o por distintos motivos no te «enganchas», volvé a preguntarme. Y quizás con toda esta experiencia, quizás te pueda recomendar algo más.
