“Cuando estamos lesionadxs logramos ver nuestro apego a la capacidad de realizar la practica o ciertas posturas de una manera determinada, y vivenciamos como ese apego nos perjudica. Descubrimos entonces que una parte de la lección, habla sobre el desapego a hacer la práctica de una determinada manera y también de la imagen de unx mismx como alguien que puede realizar “x”. Y nuevamente, la práctica puede mostrarnos cómo desapegarnos de nuestras expectativas de que la vida debe desarrollarse de una forma específica” Matthew Vollmer.
Esta frase de Matthew (parte de un libro hermoso que escribió y que me recomendó mi profe del mar y amiga, Monchi) me maravilla cada vez que la leo. Son de esas frases que llegan al corazón. Frente a una lesión, el consejo es que se continúe la práctica. Quizás para quién no practica yoga diariamente (o ashtanga particularmente) o no lo siente como su forma de vida, puede resultar raro e incluso “peligroso”.
La práctica siempre es una maestra, y es por eso que para nosotrxs es muy importante pararnos siempre en nuestro mat, abiertxs a lo que somos ese día. Pero creo que lo importante es poder tener en cuenta las nuevas cuestiones que estamos enfrentando (ya sean molestias físicas o bloqueos mentales) en vez de parar e ignorar esas cuestiones.
Hay una famosa frase ashtangui “practica & todo llega”. Creo que la mayoría de nosotros lo que siente es que si hace mucha práctica de asanas (física) un buen día esas posturas complejas y “raras” van a salirnos.
Eso puede pasar, pero no creo que la frase haga referencia necesariamente a las posturas. Todxs tenemos cuerpos distintos, experiencias de vida distintas, y hemos pasado por diferentes lesiones. Con lo cual, por más años que practiquemos, van a haber asanas que no van a salirnos de la manera que buscamos.
Y ahí está. Después de varios años, empiezo a entender que el “todo” no se refiere a asanas impecables; se refiere a todo real.
Se refiere a que si tengo la fortaleza para pararme en mi mat cada día pese a estar cansadx, triste o incluso lesionadx; si tengo la fortaleza para poder mirarme cada día desde un lugar honesto, crudo, y real, si tengo la fortaleza para practicar por años una postura que “no me sale” y observar qué me genera cada día… si tengo la fortaleza para todo esto; no tengo dudas que todo lo que sea para mí, va a encontrarme.
